The Life Tag Diagnostics startup wins the everis Award Portugal 2019

Life Tag Diagnostics is the winning project of the everis Award Portugal 2019, endowed with 10,000 € and consulting services, and faces the international final of the 18th edition of the everis Awards to be held in November in Madrid.
The startup winner of the everis Award Portugal Award, Life Tag Diagnostics, focuses on research and development of non-invasive technologies to diagnose metabolic diseases, such as diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome, and acute and chronic inflammation, among others. To this end, they work on the development of a diagnostic marker for intestinal permeability, a technology that will allow us to diagnose this pathology with greater precision, without side effects and in a non-invasive manner without surgery, which substantially reduces patient discomfort.
The entrepreneurs from LifeTag get a pass to the international final of the everis Awards, to be held in Madrid during the everis-talent-week, a series of conferences, seminars and events with investors dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship. The Portuguese winner will compete for an additional 60,000 € with national winners from 9 other countries in Europe and Latin America.
As in previous editions, this year the Award selected the best Portuguese project in the categories of ‘New Business Models in the Digital Economy’, ‘Industrial Technologies’ and ‘Biotechnology and Health’.
Participation in the Open Innovation Contest of NTT DATA
One more year, the everis Foundation offers the Portugal finalists the chance to take part in the Open Innovation Contest, an initiative of NTT DATA, the Japanese branch to which everis belongs.
