Projects can be submitted until 12 May and must be included in one of these three categories: Digital Economy, Biotechnology and Health, and Industrial Technologies.

The annual call of the everis Awards has reached its 18th edition in the world. This year it is aimed at highly innovative projects able to generate a positive change in society.

For the fifth consecutive year, everis Italy, in collaboration with the everis Foundation, is organizing the Italian edition, which selects the project that will compete in the international final in Spain with finalists from 9 other Latin American and European countries.

The Italian startup that presents the best idea before 12 May will be awarded 20,000 (non‑refundable), as well as mentoring services, $5,000 to invest in Google Cloud Platform and access to the international final with additional €60,000 at stake.

In addition, starting this year, Google Cloud will participate in the everis Award Italy as part of the jury and will provide a day of training at Google headquarters in Milan for the winning team.

The projects presented should be considered of high social impact, able to improve life and the environment in which we live thanks to innovative solutions that fall in one of these three categories: New business models in the digital economy, Biotechnology and health, and Industrial technologies. The Italian jury of the everis Award, consisting of referent individuals from the academic and business world, will meet on 5 June to choose the Italian winner who will reach the final of the everis Global Award in Madrid.

In the last edition the everis Award Italy received more than 100 submissions and was granted to the Phononic Vibes project, an innovative patented solution that reduces tenfold vibrations and noise and can be applied to infrastructures and construction. The project stems from the research activities of the founders at the Politecnico di Milano and MIT.

For its part, the everis Global Award 2018 received more than 1000 applications from more than 20 countries. The winner was a Spanish team, NaviLens, a patented label that, with the help of a mobile application, can make spaces accessible to visually impaired people.

The goal of everis Foundation to promote entrepreneurship and encourage innovation and talent at an international level also results into this year's novelty: the everis‑talent‑week, a conference dedicated to talks, debates, round tables linked to innovation and entrepreneurship, to be held in November 2019 in Madrid.

In addition, the finalists of the everis Award Italy will have again this year the chance to take part in the Open Innovation Contest 2019, organized by NTT DATA to encourage new companies to create specific business opportunities in the Asian market.
