The Spanish Mentoring Network has recognized the Púlsar Program of the everis Foundation as the best social mentoring program for its transforming impact on society.

The Púlsar Program of the everis Foundation has been recognized today as the ‘Best Practice of Social Mentoring’ by the Spanish Mentoring Network. The award ceremony took place during the 2019 International Mentoring Meeting held in Madrid and promoted by the CEOE, the Royal Academy of Engineering, Capital Radio and the Camilo José Cela University.

The Púlsar Program responds to a global need: to reduce the gender gap. To this end, the program offers individualized mentoring by referent female role models in different fields that inspire teenage girls who, for different reasons, face limitations to achieve their goals.

The award recognizes the impact of this Program - which has been running for 4 years in Spain, Brazil and Peru - as it fosters the self-confidence of teenagers and allows them to discover and develop their potential. Púlsar empowers girls to continue their educational journey and provides them with tools to avoid dropping out of school.

In addition, the Spanish Mentoring Network recognizes Púlsar for its national and international projection, for its support for adolescence, for the high profile of the mentors who guide and accompany the girls, for its mission to reduce the gender gap and for its own methodology, which is rigorous and offers key training to guide and support mentors to undertake mentoring.

Julio Rodríguez Díaz, CEO of the Spanish Mentoring Network, points out that the Púlsar Program ‘focuses on teenage girls, which is one of the most vulnerable groups in today’s society. The participation of parents, tutors and educational institutions and their well-defined methodology guarantees rigor and professional skill to address this generous support’.

Karla Alarcón, Director of the everis Foundation, states that ‘for the Foundation, this award is one more reason to remain committed to the program. Púlsar allows mentees to know a reality they can dream of. Thus, they may ask themselves those vital questions that transform their life and the lives of those around them. This knowledge is the best reward we can get’.

Sixth Edition of the International Mentoring Meeting

The Spanish Mentoring Network is a referent platform in Spain and Latin America that aims to promote and develop social mentoring within organizations, among entrepreneurs and among students in the academic world.

This sixth edition of the international meeting was attended by journalist Luis Vicente Muñoz, CEO of Capital Radio, and twelve expert speakers who shared the best practices in the organizational, academic, social and entrepreneurial fields.
